Gabrielle Freire has been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 2007 and has worked in the mental health field since 2004. Her experience includes providing individual, group, and family counseling services. Prior to establishing her private practice, Gabrielle gained valuable experience at a nonprofit agency. During her time there, she served as both a therapist and a clinical supervisor, where she provided clinical oversight to other therapists. Her clinical work involved supporting individuals in addressing a range of challenges, including anxiety symptoms like difficulty concentrating, rapid heart rate, and physical complaints such as headaches or stomachaches. She also assisted those experiencing depression symptoms, such as low self-esteem, sadness, frequent crying, and low energy, as well as individuals who had experienced trauma resulting from abuse, neglect, bullying, or accidents. She was trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (or EMDR) in 2003 and uses it to treat anxiety (social anxiety or a specific phobia), the after effects of abuse (physical, emotional or sexual) or childhood neglect, and other types of negative memories after a car accident or even a death of a loved one or pet. She was also trained in the Flash Technique by Dr. Phillip Manfield and Dr. Ricky Greenwald and uses the Flash technique often in treatment. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Northridge and in order to pursue her passion for healing and helping others, she went on to obtain her Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Culver City, California. On her days off, she spends time with her family and friends, she enjoys going to movies, photography, working out and meditating.
